 Hello there, today´s blog is going to be about why I´m studying architecture major.  For me, architecture is one of the most beautiful art on art´s history, it have multiple areas to work, I'm so interested in social housing and sustainable buildings and I think and hope i'll work on it, I like the idea of helping people who need it, and the way that I can do it is doing architecture for these people.  I see architecture as a "tool" which I can support with my grain sand to the community and I think architecture must be focused in serving people, specially for these who can't pay for a good and expensive building, because unfortunately this is a business and it don't work without money. Today I will write about the relevance of a teacher/educator when studying a subject.  The way in which an educator can influence the perception of students about a topic is fundamental, since it will depend on how they teach their subject on how their students will receive it. I give myself the right of say it because I live with an uncle who works in Indisa's Clinic.  Every time that a member of my family needs treatments or medical consults, my uncle calls his contacts and like art magic they are attended, this is favorable for us, and we don't think two times before say yes and get medical answer to our diseases but what about the people that wait a lot of time for be attended. Is democratic an obligatory voting system?  I think voting shouldn't be obligatory. First, not everyone is capable of voting, and I mean that we must have a feeling with politics and have conscience of what repercussions will have our vote. And nowadays that isn't too present in our society, great part of the people just votes because it is obligatory and don't care about their participation in this kind of process. That is antidemocratic, we have let the people decide if they want to vote or not, it is better that people that don´t want to vote, simply don´t do it. we shouldn't be obligated to do anything.  In addition, the political factions don´t care about giving adequate and sufficient information for us to vote consciously  and well informed. ArchDaily is an architecture website which shows a large kind of projects around the world. It has a lot of categories where we can find some interesting things, like architecture competitions, publications, events, interviews with actual exponents of it and a lot of articles so interesting to read.  I visit it every day in my free time, I maintain opened my account on my computer, and it is so easy to get into it when I am using it. I like this website because in there i found a lot of ideas of "green architecture" which i s a topic calls my attention, also I liked because day by day the platform is uploading new information with new articles to read and that is so good I think, because every day I can found something new that could makes me interested about it. I think Architecture affects the humanity more than the world, in the way that everyone lives their life, I mean in the spacial experience which each person will have for example, when their walk to their jobs, when ourselves go to buy something at the supermarket, affect in the distribution and organization of cities, can make the world looks like a good place, because the real fact that makes the world better are the own people, not any major, not an iconic person, not if Chile goes to the world´s cup football championship.   To be honest, I see myself helping other people. I dream of working or collaborating with a non-profit foundation, like TECHO Chile. For example, I think that could be the best way to apply my knowledge, and that's what I think every night before sleeping. This iconic picture makes me feel so excited. Everytime that I see this pic I have flashbacks of those moments, when Sánchez scores that penalty goal, or when Francisco "El Gato" Silva also does it too in the Century Coup.  I really like this photo because it is an iconic moment for national football, was the first internacional championship which Chile won. And staying alive in that moment of Chilean football history makes me feel fortunate. I had the privilege of seeing the Gold Generation of Chilean football selection. Isn´t just one story. This started when I was in school´s internship. We saw every single Chile match in the school canteen and seeing this image makes me remember the good moments that i lived. When I close my eyes after seeing this image I can feel the happiness that I felt, I remember the bets which we do between ourselves. My favourite piece of technology is paper because it is the way that I express myself, my ideas, feelings, and emotions, etc... Paper has been very important in my entire life, since I was a kid, I had a notion about making lines on paper sheets. I have memories about my grandmother scolding me because I spent a lot of time making every type of thing on paper.  Nowadays I still have these thoughts that I can't express myself without paper. Especially when I must design any project, the best way to do it is with a pen on paper. And these are the main functions of it.  Without paper my life would be so complicated, and bored. I like drawing too much and generally if I like some place, construction, another draw, and everything that calls my attention, I will draw it. On what? On a sheet of paper.  I recommend using it because it is so useful in many cases. If you need to write something quickly, like a phone number or direction, using paper you can solve that problem....

Why did I choose my major? When I was a child I helped my grandfather to make houses. I remember I gave him his work tools and everything he needed. At that moment I started to feel a type of attraction about construction, curiosity invaded me, how he can do that, I thought, I want to do the same.  When I was raised. I knew about the "Architecture"career, so I started searching for information about it. I saw the typical colossal building with abstract morphology, higher than clouds, and I think at that moment I fell in love with architecture. So, I can say, Architecture has always been my dream work. But, nowadays I feel I prefer the social area in architecture. I never thought in applying for another major, Architecture always was my first option. Today I will write about someone, someone that I met 19 years ago. His name is Emilio Gálvez, he was born in Santa Cruz, Chile on March 9th, 2003, but he grew up in a little town by the sea, called "Bucalemu" which means "big forest" from mapudungun.  Emilio studied his primary at Unión Mujeres Americanas in his hometown, years later at 11 years old, he left his school to Instituto Regional Federico Errazuriz, where he stayed in an internship for 6 years. Today he is studying architecture at Universidad de Chile.   His favourite hobbies are playing football, drawing, watching bodybuilding/culturism videos, workout, hunting and photography.  He lives with his mother, Amparo and his brother, Alonso.
